**Iowa State Cyclones Bound for Liberty Bowl Rematch with Memphis** AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State Cyclones football team is set to return to Memphis, Tennessee for a postseason rematch with the Memphis Tigers. The Cyclones will face off against their former American Athletic Conference rivals in the Liberty Bowl on December 30th. This marks the second time these two teams have met in a bowl game, with Memphis emerging victorious in the 2018 Birmingham Bowl. "We're excited for the opportunity to play in the Liberty Bowl and face a familiar opponent in Memphis," said Cyclones head coach Matt Campbell. "This is a great chance for our team to show what we can do and finish the season on a high note." Iowa State enters the Liberty Bowl with a 7-5 record, while Memphis is 6-6. The Cyclones finished the regular season with an impressive 4-1 record in their final five games, including a key victory over rival Iowa. Quarterback Hunter Dekkers has led the Cyclones' offense, passing for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. Running back Jirehl Brock has also been a key contributor, rushing for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Memphis Tigers are led by quarterback Seth Henigan, who has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 21 touchdowns. Running back Jeyvon Ducker has been a workhorse for the Tigers, rushing for over 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Iowa State Cyclones and Memphis Tigers will kick off in the Liberty Bowl at 4:30 PM CT on December 30th. The game will be televised on ESPN.
